Pew Research: The 119th Congress Marks a Generational Shift with Fewer Boomers and More Gen Xers

As the 119th U.S. Congress convenes, a significant generational shift is unfolding on Capitol Hill. While the median age of the House of Representatives has slightly decreased, the Senate's median age has remained relatively high. Notably, Baby Boomers (born 1946–1964) are no longer the dominant generation in the House, as Generation X (born 1965–1980) now leads the chamber.
