Book Banning and Censorship
Bookmarks
Book banning restricts access to diverse ideas and perspectives and prevents critical thinking. We’ve designed bookmarks that feature the top ten most banned books from the 2023–24 school year, intending to raise awareness about the importance of protecting free expression and the right to explore different cultures, experiences, and viewpoints. These bookmarks serve as a tool to spark conversations and encourage people to challenge censorship. We will be distributing the bookmarks at the Community Conversation event at the Cabot on March 26. Please come by and take a packet of them to help us distrubute them to libraries, bookstores and little free libraries!

Banned Books Week also receives generous support from Penguin Random House.
