According to The Miscarriage Association, miscarriages often happen in toilets if a woman miscarries at home or outside of a hospital setting.

In 42 states, abortion is prohibited beyond certain stages of pregnancy, while 13 states have outright bans on abortion. These stringent abortion laws in various states have created a distressing impact on women who suffer from miscarriages, as distinguishing between spontaneous abortions and induced abortions can be challenging. Tragically, women who experience stillbirths or miscarriages may find themselves unfairly blamed for their loss and even risk facing imprisonment, particularly in states with more restrictive abortion laws.
