Pew Research Survey: Americans Have Positive Views of Most Federal Agencies

A recent survey conducted by Pew Research Center found that most Americans have favorable opinions of federal agencies and departments, with 14 out of 16 agencies having net favorable ratings of 15 points or more. The National Park Service, the U.S. Postal Service, and NASA top the list of the most favorable agencies, while the IRS is the least popular. However, there are wide partisan gaps in Americans' views of federal agencies, with Democrats holding consistently favorable views of all 16 agencies, while Republicans express more unfavorable than favorable views for 10 of them. The CDC and EPA are among the most divisive agencies, with Democrats expressing overwhelmingly favorable views while Republicans express more negative opinions. Republicans' views of the CDC have shifted since the early days of the pandemic, with more negative views now compared to positive views in the past.
