Action Post: Check Your Voter Registration Today

Election Day is November 3. That's about six weeks away.

Here’s something that takes two minutes and matters more than almost anything else you'll do this fall: make sure you're registered to vote.

Moved recently? Changed your name? Haven't voted in a while? Your registration may not be current. And every state sets its own deadline, many of them in October.

Here's what to do:

1. Check your registration status at http://canivote.org/ .

2. Not registered, or not sure? Register at http://vote.gov/ .

3. Send this to three friends or family members and ask them to do the same.
