Your letter was so timely.

The owner of the general store in nearby Friendship, was hauled off in handcuffs 10 days ago by masked men in combat gear, in front of his wife and customers.  His crime?  He was Indian, a 30 year resident who missed an appointment with INS in 2010.  Yes, 2010.  He's paid taxes and done civic duties.  He was transported to a detention center in MA.

Fortunately, the town raised money for a good lawyer and he was released.  We are waiting to learn if he will be scheduled for deportation.
