We’ll be Back in September

Dear Leading Ladies,

Summer is upon us. We wish we could say we feel carefree and ready to frolic in the woods and at the beach with nary a distressing thought to mar our joy. Alas, that is not the case. With an on-again off-again war in the Middle East, insanely high prices at the gas pumps and in the grocery lines, mosquitoes threatening our lives outside city limits, children going to bed hungry and without homes, and far too many of our neighbors lacking adequate healthcare…we can’t be carefree this summer.

Nonetheless, we do feel the need to take some time to recharge our engines as we decide how best to continue to educate people about issues in a way that will encourage more to vote.

Over the next two months, our newsletters will be sent every two weeks instead of every week. With the extra time, we will be listening to others, reading about issues, and taking some time to breathe.

There’s a big autumn ahead with important decisions that will be made. We want to be ready to be on the front line making some “good trouble” worthy of John Lewis and other leaders for change.

We’ll be back in September.
