Full Steam Ahead

The Leading Ladies Executive Team met on Friday, June 25 to discuss plans for the coming year. We reaffirmed our commitment to social justice issues of concern to women and families – specifically, equal access for all to education, health care, housing, food, jobs, and political representation, whatever their ethnicity, race, religion, or sexual identity. We are also committed to humane immigration policies, common sense gun laws, antiracism, and the sustainability of our planet.

Leading Ladies is going to pursue partnerships with other community organizations and leaders to most effectively raise awareness and promote action that will effect change around these issues. We will continue to produce our newsletter focusing each week on a different issue; and we will continue to present kNOw MORE discussion groups around films, plays, books that prompt meaningful thought. Check back here for more about upcoming events and our new alliances. 

Finally, as Leading Ladies looks towards its third year, and we all emerge from the worst of the confinement made necessary by the pandemic, we want to celebrate with old and new supporters with an event in late summer. Details will be announced soon.
