Join a panel of experts to learn about the often confusing subject of affordable housing, including the new policy for accessory dwelling units (ADUs) in Beverly and other Massachusetts communities. 

Bring your questions and concerns for a community discussion that will illuminate how these policies shape the reality and future of our communities. 

Panelists

Meegan O’Neill is Executive Director of Essex County Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. They believe housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities.

Darlene Wynne is the Director of Planning and Development for the City of Beverly.  She led the development of the ordinance of the new Accessory Dwelling Unit policy (ADU) just adopted in Beverly. 

Shawn Farrell is a selectman in the town of Hamilton, a public school teacher and an affordable housing advocate.

Beverly’s Mayor Mike Cahill is unable to attend, but will share a video message for the community.

Andrew DeFranza is Executive Director of Harborlight Homes, a nonprofit that develops, manages and advocates for quality, service-enriched housing that is affordable and inclusive. Harborlight collaborates with communities to cultivate just, equitable and sustainable housing opportunities in Massachusetts that it believes are vital to the strength and health of our area.
